Teaching Philosophy

As a music educator, students-focusing always important in making learning success.  Apart from love and caring, the 3Is ideas also promotes as core value in Violets' music teaching.

Inclusive

  • By recognising and knowing the diversity of students ages' backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, we aims to set goals and plans for students.
     

  • Create a safe and respectful learning atmosphere where all students feel valued and heard, promoting an inclusive learning community.
     

  • Be open to adapting teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students. Recognize that different learners require different approaches, and be willing to adjust accordingly.
     

  • Be Transparent and communicative:
    Apart from students, parents also play the important roles in children' learning. Therefore, our communication are valued not just with students, but their parents/ guardians.

Inspiration

  • Encourage students to ask questions, explore, and seek answers independent​ly. A curious mind is an engaged mind, and fostering curiosity is essential for lifelong learning.
     

  • Growth and Exploration:  Music can lead students to different interests including instrumental or theoretical, either way and build more knowledges and allow students to explore themselves.
     

  • Real-life experience; encouraging students to participate in examination, such as ARBSM, Trinity ,etc, they can know more through different assessments; Students also be encouraged to try and build their confidence through competitions.
